Overboard at the Folk Museum
A Mexican baptism
Daughter Annabelle began her summer job working backstage for the Santa Fe Opera this week. She and I drove there from Alabama and enjoyed an art exploratory trip for fun. These are images (the first set of many that will follow in subsequent posts) of the International Folk Art Museum in Santa Fe. A massive room held dioramas of dolls and figurines from cultures around the world. The exhibit was such a departure from the usual art museum fare that I had fun pulling together a photo essay that would explain why I spent so much time there. Forgive my lack of notations on which country the figures represent. The information at the museum was not easily accessed and I got lazy. I did my best, and welcome your guess in the comments.

I'm thinking Eastern European
