Hybridizer Garden Post-Bloom

My husband, Scott Bennett, the daylily hybridizer, tags each bloom as he pollinates it. After bloom season, we have a field of seed pods on sticks with Minnie Pearl tags dangling in the wind.

Each tag corresponds with the parents of the flower, and is recorded in Scott's stud book, which looks like an autistic person's mad scrawling.

When I get my hands on it, I will post images of his stud book, which will come across as one of the best works of art I've seen in a while.
